Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your inner voice. And most importantly, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.” Steve Jobs

So many times, we allow the distraction of circumstantial messaging to discourage us. It is at this time, we can rise to the challenge and present our authentic selves rather than hide under a cloak of pretension to please others. There is no greater beauty in this life than truth. Always be true to yourself!

#authenticity #couragetobereal #writingtruth #amwriting #writerslife #iwrite #soulscripts #heartofthematter #creativitycoaching #beyou A jack-o-lantern, according to an Irish legend, tells the story of a man who took pleasure in playing tricks on everyone. Yet the tradition of carving pumpkins goes farther back to describe strange flickering lights seen at night over bogs, swamps, and marshes.

Sometimes referred to as fairy light, these carved pumpkins resemble a scientific phenomenon whereby methane and phosphine gases spontaneously ignite as they com into contact through the air, or a representation of bioluminescent plants like honey fungus.

Although the fable of jack-o-lanterns as fairy houses appeals to the fantasy writer in me, I’m ok with the fact that there is typically a scientific explanation for everything on this planet.

Jack’s face can remind us that although we all wear masks at one time or another, we should remember to let our light shine through, not overthink, and simply enjoy the “trick or treat” season with a “toothy” grin.

I myself will probably indulge in a few treats tonight - mainly my favorites (Reeses cups, and Kit Kats)

Happy Halloween!

The season shall change yet I will grow until I can grow no more.
The earth shall freeze and my buds will wait until the sun warms my soul.
As the Spring will come, I will come back to grow again.”

*
Your truth is not ugly. Believe in the beauty of your truth.
*
Trust is where the beauty begins. Embrace authenticity. Find truth within yourself and share it with the world. Trust in the process. Do not deny yourself by denying your inward truths.
*
As the tight bud of a flower unfurls its petals, unguarded and open to the possibilities, we must expose our deepest selves, providing the seeds of tomorrow. Denying that we hold these seeds only leads to an unfulfilled life and a timeline of “what ifs?”
*
Joyfully release these seeds, for holding onto them too tightly will not spread the beauty.
*
Only in acceptance of our deepest truths are we allowed to gaze upon the beauty of others.

#messytruth #authenticity #creativepurpose #writinginspiration #writingtruth #iwrite #beauty #flowerphotography #selfacceptance #creativityeveryday #botanicallover The day I accepted procrastination as a positive word is the day my creative world opened up. From the beginning of June until today, I have wandered. I have captured the moods of the sky as I processed my own emotional upheaval dealing with my Mom’s cancer diagnosis. What I have learned in the Summer of Procrastination, I share with you today:

Each day holds the same amount of hours, but those hours do not hold the same amount of living. Each of our choices and manner in which we use these hours add to real living or simply passing the time. Allow yourself the detour of procrastination and lose yourself in the transformative power of following the lead of your creative whims.
